REFUND POLICY
1. Health Insurance for International Students and Foreigners in Spain
In Spain, health insurance policies are generally non-refundable once they have started.
However, thanks to our exclusive agreement with the insurance company, we offer a more flexible policy that allows refund requests even after the policy has already begun.
✅ Cases Eligible for a Refund
Visa denial or NIE renewal denial
To request a refund, you must provide the official denial notice issued by the corresponding authority.
💰 Applicable Fees and Deductions
- Administrative handling fee: 7% (minimum €30)
- Bank fees for card payments or international transfers: non-refundable
- Express delivery fees: non-refundable
- Months already elapsed since the insurance start date: non-refundable
⏱ Refunds After the Insurance Has Started
(Only within 60 days from the insurance start date)
In the event of a visa denial, the policyholder may request a refund even if the insurance policy has already started, subject to the following conditions:
Reference Date
The valid date for refund calculation will be the date on which the student formally sends the denial notice by email to Global Estudiante.
Current Month
Any month already in progress at the time of notification will be considered used and therefore non-refundable.
Insurance Company Billing Cut-Off
Insurance companies establish an advance billing cut-off date, generally between the 15th and 20th of each month.
Therefore:
- If the notification is submitted before the billing cut-off date, only the current month will be deducted.
- If the notification is submitted after the billing cut-off date, both the current month and the following month will be deducted, as they will already have been issued and billed by the insurer.
Practical Examples
- Notification on April 10 → April is deducted
- Notification on April 18 → April is deducted
- Notification on April 22 → April and May are deducted
Other Non-Refundable Charges
Administrative fees, bank commissions, and additional contracted services (such as express delivery) are non-refundable, according to the general terms and conditions.
2. Services
Services (consulting, paperwork processing, assistance, or any other services contracted through the website):
- Are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- This includes any service whose execution has already started, even partially.
3. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance policies are non-refundable.
- No exceptions apply, regardless of the reason.
General Recommendations
- Please verify that all information entered during your purchase is correct before making payment.
- Any later modifications may generate additional costs.
